Appointment of new Chairman

The Board of Directors advise that, as foreshadowed at the 2008 Annual General Meeting in February, Mr Kevin Hayes will step down as Chairman on 1 October 2008. Current Deputy Chairman Mr Rod Fitzroy has been appointed Chairman from that date. Mr Hayes will remain on the Timbercorp Board as an independent non-executive Director.
